On April 22nd, the 10th Pig Disease Academic Symposium and Pig Industry Summit of Fujian Province was successfully held at Fanhua Hotel in Nan'an, Quanzhou. The conference attracted nearly 40 enterprises to participate in the exhibition, and a total of 500 pig farmers attended and exchanged ideas. Fujian Yongcheng Agricultural Technology Group, as a national core breeding base for pigs under the Ministry of Agriculture and the first pig pseudorabies disease purification demonstration site under the Ministry of Agriculture, was invited to set up an exhibition booth and participated in this conference. At the exhibition, they discussed and exchanged with all parties to jointly promote the development of China's pig farming industry.

This meeting was themed "Ecological Farming, Healthy and Efficient". The opening ceremony was presided over by Zhou Lunjiang, a researcher and the理事长 of the Animal Epidemiology Branch of the Fujian Provincial Society of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Medicine， and the Chief Expert of the Fujian Provincial Modern Agricultural Pig Industry Technology System. At the opening ceremony， Huang Yifan， the vice president of the Fujian Provincial Society of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Medicine， stated that the pig disease academic symposium is a brand academic event within the field， with considerable influence both domestically and internationally. Such a good conference should be further inherited, carried forward and developed to a higher level. Chen Deli， a member of the Party Committee of the Agricultural Bureau of Quanzhou City and the Chief Veterinary Physician， pointed out at the opening ceremony that the pig farming industry should follow the path of "agriculture and animal husbandry integration， healthy and efficient ecological farming".

At this meeting, experts from the pig farming industry, including academicians Chen Huanchun, Kong Yuan, Xiao Shaobo, Wu Songshu, Bai Yiquan, Xu Jinsheng, Li Kebin, Ding Nengshui, Gao Yan, and Zhang Junjie, among over a dozen experienced professionals in the industry, were invited to share special reports and engage in exchanges and discussions with the on-site participants. The report mainly analyzed the current situation and prevention measures of systemic diseases in pig herds, as well as pig-related epidemic diseases such as swine fever and foot-and-mouth disease. It also introduced new pig farming methods that have attracted much attention from industry professionals, such as green pig farming, modern pig farming, floor pig farming, and intelligent pig farming.

Over the years, Fujian Yongcheng has continuously promoted large-scale, standardized and ecological farming, and has been constantly exploring and improving the comprehensive utilization model of manure. It has thus pioneered a modern agricultural and animal husbandry development path that is resource-conserving, environmentally friendly and capable of efficiently utilizing waste. To actively promote the development of pig breeding in China, Fujian Yongcheng established an expert workstation with Academician Huang Lusheng of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. Through quantitative genetic breeding of pigs and combined with molecular breeding methods such as whole genome detection, they have conducted breeding and research on pigs, breaking the "importation - breeding - degradation - re-importation" vicious circle that has hindered the development of pig breeds in China.

Currently, after correction, the average weight of Yongcheng Duoluo pigs reaches 100kg at 145 days of age. Yongcheng's pig breed, Wei Duo D491-2, reaches a weight of 100kg at only 122 days of age. According to the assessment by experts from both domestic and international fields, the performance of Yongcheng Duoluo breeding pigs has reached the world-class level.

Over the past 25 years, Fujian Yongcheng Agricultural Technology Group has received increasing support and trust from leaders, peers and customers. We will explore the potential of breeding pigs to provide customers with fast-growing breeding pigs, enabling the offspring of commercial pigs to be sold earlier, thereby increasing economic benefits. At the same time, due to the earlier sale of commercial pigs, the total amount of pig manure and urine in the pig farm has been reduced, effectively promoting the realization of the goal of energy conservation and emission reduction.
